Drum pump made by Lutz
Requirements and liquids in the market could not be more different. Large quantities, high pressures, viscous liquids, chemical resistance and many more features make the drum pump face a wide variety of challenges.
Drum Pumps for pumping liquids from various containers
There is a suitable pump for every Pumped medium. Pumps made of polypropylene and PVDF are not impressed by acids and alkalis. Pumps made of aluminium ensure that diesel and oil run like grease. Stainless steel is ideal for corrosive liquids - it performs very well in the pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics industries. The extremely resistant Hastelloy C does not shy away from highly aggressive acids or alkalis. The choice is yours, whatever the application.
Due to the variety of thin and thick, neutral and aggressive, cold and hot, as well as flammable and non-flammable media to be pumped, there is the requirement to have the right Drum pump ready for every requirement.
When we speak of a Drum pump at Lutz, it consists of 2 main elements. Namely from a Motor and a Pump tube. The Motor is the drive and is responsible for the transport capacity of the various requirements. The Pump tube with its high-quality materials and resistance to the media ensures the safe transport of the liquids.
Due to the many variants of our products, we supply suitable solutions for every challenge. Our portfolio is completed by corresponding spare parts and accessories.
Which Immersion depth is needed for which container? Canister , hobbocks, Drum, IBC tanks and special containers of all kinds present users with this one question time and time again. Since most containers comply with a standard, this also simplifies the answer to the correct Immersion depth.
All standard Lutz-Pump tubes have been adapted to the corresponding container standards, resulting in immersion depths of 500 mm, 700 mm, 1000 mm and 1200 mm.
Also for special containers and pump sumps Lutz has the optimal solution, because all Pump tubes are available in individual special lengths from ~300mm up to more than 3 m length, which are specially made for our customers.
Explosion protection is mandatory for flammable and highly flammable liquids, which are classified in explosion group II (according to EN/IEC 60 079-0). The hazardousness of the gases increases from explosion group II A via II B to II C. The requirements for the Drum pump used for these explosion groups increase accordingly.
The Lutz Drum pump in explosion-proof design offers the highest possible protection when handling easily combustible, flammable substances and in potentially explosive atmospheres. It is designed in the materials Niro (stainless steel 1.4571) and Hastelloy C. It meets all international standards and regulations and complies with the directives according to Atex 2014/34/EU and IEC Ex.
